Megan Grant is a 5-foot-10 professional softball utility player from San Bruno, California. She was acquired by the Portland Cascade with the No. 4 overall pick in the first round of the 2026 AUSL College Draft following a collegiate career at UCLA.


Personal Life


Basketball Career: Two-sport athlete at UCLA who played 14 games off the bench for the Bruins' 2025-26 NCAA Champion women’s basketball team.

Family: Daughter of Christine and Shawn Grant; both of her older brothers played college sports.

Background: Majored in sociology. Admires Kobe Bryant, roots for the San Francisco Giants, and lists Twilight as her favorite movie.

Professional Experience


Athletes Unlimited Softball League (2026)

2026 AUSL Regular Season: Selected fourth overall by the Portland Cascade in the 2026 AUSL College Draft.


International Experience (2021–2024)

Team USA: Competed at the 2023 and 2024 Japan All-Star Series, hitting two home runs in 2023. Won Gold at the 2021 WBSC U-18 World Cup (.450 average) and the Junior Pan American Games.

College Experience: UCLA (2023–2026)


Career Statistics: Started 241-of-243 career games. Holds the UCLA career record with 91 home runs. Ranks third in program history with 271 RBIs and 572 total bases, and second with 168 walks. Hit seven career grand slams.

Senior Year (2026): Set an NCAA single-season standard with 42 home runs. Finished as the team's second-leading hitter with a .455 average, 88 runs, and 91 RBIs while drawing 76 walks.

Junior Year (2025): Led the Bruins in home runs (26), slugging (.933), and OBP (.540). Homered in five consecutive games to match a school record.

Sophomore Year (2024): Hit .335 with 16 multi-hit games, contributing eight home runs, 11 doubles, and 41 RBIs.

Freshman Year (2023): Played six different positions, batting .333 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs. Posted a 14-game hitting streak.


Awards & Honors

National Honors: Finalist for the 2026 Honda Sport Award. Top-3 Finalist for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

All-America: Three-time consensus All-American (First-Team in 2025, 2026); earned Second-Team NFCA honors as a freshman.

Conference & Region Honors: Four-time First-Team All-Conference and four-time NFCA All-West Region selection.
