Maya Brady is a 5-foot-10 professional softball utility player from Thousand Oaks, California. She was acquired in the 1st Round of the 2026 Expansion Draft following a collegiate career at UCLA.


Personal Life


Background: Competed in soccer, volleyball, golf, and flag football as a child. Lists graduating from UCLA as her proudest accomplishment.

Education: Earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UCLA and is pursuing a marketing certificate.

Family: Daughter of Brian Timmons and Maureen Brady. Mother was an All-America softball player at Fresno State. Uncle, Tom Brady, won seven Super Bowl titles. Uncle, Kevin Youkilis, won two World Series championships.

Professional Experience


Athletes Unlimited Softball League (2025–)

2025 AUSL Regular Season (Oklahoma City Spark): Brady started 21 games in 2026 and ranked third in the AUSL with a .403 batting average. She set an AUSL single-season record by hitting 11 home runs, while also leading the league with 25 runs scored and a .985 slugging percentage. She ranked fifth in the league with 20 runs batted in, and placed third in the circuit with 66 total bases and a .481 on-base percentage. Brady opened the season on a tear, going 16-for-32 (.500) during a 10-game hitting streak to start the year. In the season opener against Texas on June 9, she tallied three hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs. The next day, June 10, she belted a three-run home run against Texas in an 8-5 setback. She posted back-to-back two-hit performances against Chicago on June 13 and June 14. At Portland, she tallied two hits in consecutive games on June 19 and June 21, contributing two home runs and a double over that stretch. On July 4, against Portland, she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Brady closed out the year with a strong finish at Carolina. On July 18, she opened the season-ending series with three hits, including two home runs, along with two runs scored and two runs batted in. She capped the season on July 20 by hitting her record-setting 11th home run in the finale at Carolina.

2025 AUSL Regular Season (Talons): Appeared in six games with the AUSL champion Talons after being activated off the Injured List. Fashioned a .647 batting average with 11 hits in 17 at-bats. Recorded at least one hit in all six games, contributing one home run, five runs scored, and five RBIs.

2024 Championship Season: One of 15 players selected in the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball College Draft.


International Experience (2022–2026)

Team USA: Guided Team USA to a Silver medal at the 2024 WBSC World Cup, hitting .375 with two doubles. Competed for Team USA at the 2023 WBSC World Cup Stage event and the 2022 Japan All-Star Series. Named to the Team USA roster for the 2025 World Games and is in the 2026 National Team pool.

College Experience: UCLA (2020–2024)


Career Statistics: Started 247-of-249 career games. Ranks second on UCLA's career lists for home runs (71), RBIs (246), total bases (550), and slugging percentage (.757). Finished 10th in Bruins’ history with a .384 career batting average.

Redshirt Senior (2024): Led UCLA with a .418 batting average, pacing the team in hits (71), RBIs (68), runs scored (59), and extra-base hits (31).

Senior Year (2023): Claimed the Pac-12 batting title. Bruins’ leading hitter with a .448 average, pacing the squad with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs.

Junior Year (2022): Started all 61 games in center field, hitting .339 with 15 home runs and 53 RBIs.

Sophomore Year (2021): Authored a .333 batting average while leading UCLA with 14 home runs.

Freshman Year (2020): Paced UCLA with seven home runs and 28 RBIs during the COVID-shortened season, batting .356.


Awards & Honors

All-America: One of 11 UCLA players to claim three NFCA First-Team All-America citations.

National Honors: Two-time finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. 2020 Softball America Freshman of the Year.

Conference Honors: Four-time All-Pac-12 Conference honoree who won back-to-back Pac-12 Player of the Year awards (2023, 2024).
