Kenleigh Cahalan

Kenleigh Cahalan is a 5-foot-8 professional softball infielder from Trussville, Alabama. She was acquired by the Portland Cascade in the fourth round of the 2026 AUSL College Draft following a collegiate career at Alabama and Florida.

Personal Life

Background: Majored in education sciences at Florida. Models her game after Katelyn Boyd and lists her father as a major influence. Chose No. 31 to match her travel ball and college number.

Hobbies: Enjoys walking, watching movies, and spending time with her family.

Family: Daughter of Shane and Karen Cahalan; has one sibling.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League (2026–)

2026 AUSL Postseason (Portland Cascade): Cahalan contributed a 1-for-5 effort against Chicago in Portland's Play-In Game setback.

2026 AUSL Regular Season (Portland Cascade): Cahalan earned the starting assignment at shortstop in all 25 of Portland's regular season games during her rookie year. She finished the season with a .222 batting average, two home runs, and 11 runs batted in, accumulating 14 hits, including two doubles and two triples. She hit safely in five consecutive games from June 21 to June 30. Cahalan hit the first home run of her professional career at Texas on June 26, a two-run blast in the seventh inning. She added a second home run, a solo shot, at Oklahoma City on July 4. On June 21, against Oklahoma City, she went 3-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored. On July 15, against Utah, she posted a two-hit effort with two runs batted in. In the regular season finale against Texas on July 18, Cahalan hit a bases-clearing triple to help lead the Cascade to a 10-1 victory.

College Experience: Alabama & Florida (2023–2026)

Career Statistics: Earned starting assignments in 254-of-255 career games. Compiled a .316 batting average with 244 hits, 51 doubles, 36 home runs, and 178 RBIs.

Florida (2025–2026): Started 128-of-129 games over two seasons, hitting .342 with 27 home runs and 117 RBIs.

Senior Year (2026, Florida): Ranked third on the team with a .377 batting average, 17 home runs, and 77 hits, while driving in 68 runs. Registered 20 multi-hit games.

Junior Year (2025, Florida): Started 64 games at third base, hitting .302 with 10 home runs and two grand slams. Led the team with 121 assists.

Alabama (2023–2024): Started all 126 games over two seasons, logging a .290 average with 113 hits. Hit .296 as a sophomore. As a freshman, hit safely in 14 straight games to set a program rookie record.

All-Region: Two-time NFCA All-Region selection, including Second-Team All-Gulf honors as a senior and Third-Team All-South honors as a freshman.
