Bandits catcher Jordan Roberts is retiring from professional softball.
Roberts has been a part of the launch of two pro leagues: Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball’s start in 2020 and the Athletes Unlimited Softball League’s inaugural season in 2025.
Back in 2020, the catcher was fresh off her collegiate career with the Florida Gators. She was a four-year starter and had a perfect 1.000 career fielding percentage.
The Bandits signed Roberts after the Allocation Draft as the 13th addition to the team. She was fundamental in connecting a first-year pitching staff and was praised for her pitch calling and attention to detail. She appeared in 16 games, starting in 13 of them. Roberts has finished in the top 15 on the leaderboard in four seasons. With two games remaining in the All-Star Cup, she has a career batting average of .230 with a .355 on-base percentage and a .396 slugging percentage. In the 2023 Championship Season, she called Megan Faraimo’s no-hitter on August 6. The battery allowed just two base runners and retired the final 10 hitters faced.
